Vicinity Launches The Halloweenies – An Augmented Reality Experience powered by Norbit

Vicinity Centres has launched an Augmented Reality Campaign in 47 of their centres across Australia. The hunt drives visitation, dwell time and promotes retailers via in-app offers and mobile redemption, while increasing the customer database for each centre.

The experience features three apps – a master branded Vicinity Play app that can be used at 45 of the centres, and two individually branded apps, one for The Myer Centre Brisbane, and one for Northland.

Customers can download the app, and follow the clues that have been customised for each centre. Completion unlocks the chance to win a $200 Vicinity Gift Card, in addition to featuring digital retail coupons that can be redeemed (and recorded for reporting campaign success) at each retailer.

By creating an account, the customer also agrees to sign up to their selected centre’s email marketing program, with all data captured being passed to Vicinity’s CRM to reduce multiple data storage points and reduce the need to double handle information.
